Bio 4.2.1 by Jade Shepherd
Analyze photosynthesis and cellular respiration in terms of how energy is stored, released, and transferred within and between these systems.
Photosynthesis
Photosynthesis is defined as the process that converts carbon dioxide into organic compounds in the presence of sunlight. The image above is the written formula for photosynthesis. Photosynthesis occurs in chloroplasts. These are the parts of the plant that make them green.
Cellular Respiration
Cellulars respiration is defined as the process that converts nutrients into ATP and waste products. The image above is the written formula for cellular respiration. Cellular respiration occurs int he the mitochondria of a cell, otherwise known as the power plant of the cell.

How are they connected?
If you look at the formulas of both of the reactions, you will see that the reactant for on its the result of the other. Without both of these processes, the oxygen humans need and the carbon plants need would not exist.
